Protocol Officer

Basic Requirements

  • To be a national of one of the Member States of Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS);
  • To have a degree in any of the following:
    International Relations, Political Science, Diplomatic Studies, International Studies, or any related subjects; The Master’s degree is preferred;
  • To be free of diseases and infirmities that may hinder the exercise of his duties;
  • Not having been convicted of a felony or a crime against honour or trust;
  • Not having been removed from any job for disciplinary reasons.

Languages

This designation requires fluent knowledge of English language and knowledge of other working languages of IOFS is a plus (Arabic, English, French).

Experiences

  • Minimum 12 years of proven experience in protocol or diplomatic services;
  • Deep understanding of international diplomatic norms and practices;
  • Experience in liaising with diplomatic missions and organizing high-level protocol arrangements;
  • Experience working in cross-cultural and multicultural environments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and oversee protocol arrangements for the Director General’s official visits, ceremonies, meetings, and events;
  • Ensure full compliance with diplomatic protocols and organizational standards;
  • Liaise with diplomatic missions, international organizations, and relevant stakeholders on behalf of the Director General;
  • Draft briefing notes and protocol guidelines for the Director General’s high-level engagements;
  • Address and resolve protocol-related issues and provide internal guidance;
  • Coordinate protocol for General Assemblies, conferences, seminars, and related activities;
  • Carry out additional tasks delegated by supervisors to support operational needs.
