The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIO) have partnered with the UAE government to streamline permitting processes for the food and water industry, as reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), in collaboration with TV BRICS network. This initiative supports the establishment of an innovation cluster focused on food security. The cluster aims to foster advancements in food product development, ingredient innovation, and technologies for enhancing water resource accessibility and efficiency. It also aims to bolster local suppliers and exporters while alleviating pressure on agricultural systems, addressing nutritional challenges, and bolstering global food security efforts. ADDED, ADIO, and their partners are committed to promoting research and development through the establishment of laboratories and facilities, facilitating rapid market introduction of new products and services, and integrating local companies into global value chains.
