In collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) launched the "Enhancement of the Efficient Response of the Decentralized Agricultural Departments in Jordan" project on Sunday. This initiative aims to elevate service quality within Jordan's agricultural sector, enhancing responsiveness and efficiency in service delivery. Under the agreement, FAO conducted an inception workshop to outline the project scope, implementation strategy, and work plan, attended by stakeholders including Minister of Agriculture Khaled Hnaifat and representatives from relevant ministries and selected partners. Minister Hnaifat emphasized the importance of creating a conducive business environment to support agricultural development and meet the evolving needs of farmers and the public. The project will include a comprehensive capacity-building program for veterinarians, extensionists, and agricultural engineers, aimed at improving service delivery and ensuring customer satisfaction. FAO Representative in Jordan, Nabil Assaf, highlighted that the project aligns with the Ministry's goals to enhance service levels and strengthen infrastructure. Fully funded by FAO, the project activities are scheduled to conclude in October 2025.
