Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a law focused on the production and circulation of organic products, along with amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses, aiming to preserve natural resources, promote healthy diets, and foster the organic products market. The legislation revises the goals of national legislation, expands the scope of organic product producers to include associations of producers, and sets conditions for transitioning to organic production, including requirements for production, labeling, and circulation. Additionally, the law introduces provisions for a joint guarantee system aligned with international standards, emphasizing voluntary participation, internal control, and collective responsibility for product quality.
