On 03 May 2023, the Ambassador, Director for Asian Affairs and Ocean HE S.E. Abdelkader EL ANSARI and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in the Republic of Kazakhstan HE S.E. Rachid MAANINOU paid a visit to the Headquarters of the Islamic Organization for Food Security.
The delegation was welcomed by the IOFS Secretariat, led by the Director General of IOFS, HE Prof. Yerlan Baidaulet. The meeting of the parties included discussions on facilitating IOFS programs and projects with the Kingdom of Morocco and prospects for future cooperation in collaboration with African Member States. The IOFS Secretariat highlighted the crucial role a strategic partnership with the Kingdom of Morocco holds in the implementation of the strategic objectives of the IOFS. The esteemed guests expressed their full support for the plans and activities of the IOFS, and highlighted the noble mission of the organization.
The delegation also underlined that food security is one of the main priorities of the strategic vision of the Kingdom of Morocco. In this context ,the delegation proposed for the IOFS to attend the next International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco SIAM on April 2024. It should also be noted, particular attention was given to supporting the IOFS Africa Food Security Initiative.
