Qatar Charity (QC) commenced the distribution of a new shipment of vital food items in North Gaza and Jabalia, comprising 10,000 food packages delivered through Jordan in collaboration with UNRWA, with over half already distributed. This initiative is part of QC's ongoing humanitarian aid to Gaza, initiated in October and continuing, addressing various sectors such as food, health, shelter, and WASH through the Qatari bridge. Through 97 flights, QC has transported over 1,010 tons of aid, including food, shelter materials, medical supplies, and hygiene kits. Their urgent relief project includes substantial aid such as hot meals, food packages, flour, clothing vouchers, blankets, and sleeping mats, with additional deliveries through Jordan. QC's 'Labbeh Gaza' campaign aims to assist 550,000 individuals in Gaza, costing QR 40 million, while their Dhul-Hijjah campaign targets 3.5 million globally, distributing sacrificial meat and supporting developmental projects. QC's plan for Gaza includes projects worth approximately $120 million, focusing on life-saving interventions, shelter, health, education, and economic empowerment, aligning with pledges made at the 9th Conference on Effective Partnership for Better Humanitarian Aid held in Kuwait.
