Astana, Kazakhstan – 20 June 2024, In a significant step towards enhancing agricultural innovation and food security across Member States, the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) and QazPatent have entered into a collaborative partnership. The partnership aims to promote Kazakhstan’s patents in agricultural technology and IT inventions related to food security through mutual cooperation and strategic promotional activities.
A courtesy visit by His Excellency, Ambassador Berik Aryn, Director General of IOFS, to QazPatent, the National Institute of Intellectual Property under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, marked the beginning of this fruitful collaboration. Mr. Yerbol Ospanov, Director of QazPatent, warmly welcomed Amb. Berik Aryn and provided an insightful tour of QazPatent’s facilities.
During the meeting, Mr. Ospanov congratulated Amb. Aryn on his recent appointment and expressed optimism about the future collaboration between IOFS and QazPatent. The Director General in turn, affirmed the commitment of the IOFS to supporting and promoting Kazakhstan’s patents related to agriculture and food security among its Member States. This collaboration will include organizing workshops, events, and partnership activities aimed at showcasing Kazakhstan’s advancements in agricultural technologies and IT solutions for food security.
Moving forward, IOFS and QazPatent will work closely to implement joint initiatives that promote knowledge sharing, capacity building, and technology transfer in the agricultural sector.
