Astana, Kazakhstan | 31 August — The Islamic Organisation for Food Security (IOFS) received H.E. Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, who paid a courtesy visit to the IOFS Headquarters in Astana. H.E. Alharthy was accompanied by an official delegation.
The Omani delegation was received by H.E. Ambassador Azamat Berdibay, Chief de Cabinet of the Director General of the IOFS, together with representatives of the IOFS Secretariat.
During the meeting, the IOFS Secretariat presented the Organisation's ongoing projects, programmes, and strategic priorities, highlighting key initiatives aimed at strengthening food security, promoting sustainable agricultural development, and enhancing cooperation among OIC Member States.
The visit provided an opportunity to explore avenues for future cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Organisation for Food Security.
