Astana, Kazakhstan, 27 October 2026 – H.E. Berik Aryn, Director General of the Islamic Organisation for Food Security (IOFS), welcomed a delegation from the Kingdom of Morocco to the Organisation's Headquarters in Astana to discuss cooperation in advancing food security and sustainable agricultural development across OIC Member States.
The Moroccan delegation included Prof. Amine Laghidi, President of National Economic Diplomacy Council; Mr. Zahid Rachid, President of Zahi Group; and H.E. Mohammed Rachid Maaninou, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the Director General expressed appreciation for Morocco's continued commitment to IOFS and highlighted the Kingdom's important role as a strategic partner in strengthening regional collaboration.
Ambassador Maaninou reaffirmed Morocco's commitment to supporting the Organisation's mandate and advancing its engagement with the IOFS.
The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to further strengthen their partnership and advance joint efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and food security across OIC Member States.
