Astana, Kazakhstan – 26 April 2026 – The Secretariat of the Islamic Organisation for Food Security (IOFS), led by H.E. Ambassador Berik Aryn, Director General, participated in the Spring Charity Bazaar hosted by the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia) at its Headquarters in Astana.
Bringing together members of the diplomatic community, international organizations, academia, and local businesses, the charitable event served as a vibrant platform to celebrate cultural diversity, strengthen solidarity, and support an important social cause.
As part of the initiative, the IOFS Secretariat presented a cultural and culinary stand featuring traditional homemade dishes and national souvenirs representing Türkiye, Mozambique, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Tajikistan and Morocco.
The IOFS Secretariat highly appreciated the initiative of the CICA Secretariat in hosting such a meaningful event, which promotes compassion, mutual understanding, and collective social responsibility — values closely aligned with the humanitarian mission of IOFS. Through its participation, the Organisation reaffirmed its commitment to intercultural dialogue and support for charitable initiatives within the host country.
Proceeds from the Bazaar will be directed toward the modernization of the “Rassvet” summer camp of the Center for Special Social Services in Akkol, Akmola Region, contributing to improved recreational and rehabilitation opportunities for children receiving specialized social care.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for international partners in Astana to come together in a spirit of generosity, community engagement, and mutual respect.
