The Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), in collaboration with the OIC ST, ICESCO, COMSTECH, and INWRDAM, organizes from 26-28 Mai 2025 a workshop on “Water Use Management for Agriculture in OIC Member States in Rabat.

The opening ceremony featured welcoming addresses from senior officials representing the organizing institutions, including a keynote by Dr. Abdelaziz Hajjaji, who emphasized the importance of adopting integrated and innovative solutions to secure water resources for agriculture and ensure food security across OIC MS. His remarks highlighted IOFS’s strategic efforts to support Member States in achieving resilient and sustainable agri-water systems.

The program of the first day focused on desalination technologies, rainwater harvesting, and rain-fed agriculture solutions, with presentations from the Ministry of Equipment and Water of Morocco, SESRIC, IWMI, ICARDA, and other regional and national experts. A high-level panel concluded the day by exploring emerging technologies and investment opportunities to enhance water use efficiency in agriculture.
