Astana, 14 September — H.E. Ambassador Berik Aryn, Director General of the Islamic Organisation for Food Security (IOFS), received H.E. Mr. Ali Akbar Jokar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Kazakhstan, at the IOFS Headquarters in Astana on the occasion of the conclusion of the Ambassador's diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan.
Among the key milestones highlighted during the meeting were the official visit of IOFS Director General to Tehran; the visits of Iran's Minister of Agriculture and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Legal and International Affairs to the IOFS Headquarters in Astana; and the successful convening of the first official IOFS event in Tehran — the Expert Roundtable and Capacity Exchange on Climate-Smart Livestock Breeding in OIC Member States. Together, these milestones have significantly strengthened institutional ties between the IOFS and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Director General expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Jokar for his valuable contribution to promoting constructive cooperation between Iran and the IOFS during his tenure. He also thanked the Ambassador for his continued support of the Organisation's initiatives and wished him every success in his future professional endeavours.
Ambassador Jokar, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the productive partnership with the IOFS Secretariat, reaffirming the importance of continued engagement between the Organisation and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The meeting concluded with both sides expressing confidence that the positive momentum achieved in recent years will continue to deepen institutional ties and advance collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
