The Director General IOFS, HE Prof. Yerlan Alimzhanuly Baidaulet, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali , Director of Programs and Projects Department of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) visited Pakistan for a working visit and held a meeting with Mr Tabbasum Habib, Director General of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Prime Minister Secretariate Islamabad and his team. The technical aspects of the Green Pakistan Initiative 2023 of SIFC were discussed which fully aligned with the IOFS Strategic Vision 2031. Further projects for collaboration were identified and the sides agreed to work on project designing and implementation on the fast track.
H.E. Prof. Yerlan A Baidaulet also held a meeting with Dr Akmal Siddiq, Technical Adviser for the Ministry of National Food Security and Research in Islamabad. All matters of mutual interest were discussed and the parties agreed to further strengthen and expand cooperation, especially on strategic commodities development, Gene Banks, Food Security Reserve and more.
