IOFS Director General Meets with Chairman of the Board of NASEC

Astana, Kazakhstan – On 13 February, the Director General of the Islamic Organisation for Food Security (IOFS), H.E. Berik Aryn, held a meeting at the IOFS Headquarters with Mr. Baurzhan Asanov, Chairman of the Board of NASEC – The National Agrarian Science Educational Centre.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong partnership between IOFS and NASEC and focused on ongoing cooperation in agricultural science, research, and innovation. The two sides reviewed the progress of their joint initiatives and discussed further steps to strengthen collaboration in support of sustainable agricultural development and food security.

Particular attention was given to enhancing coordination in areas related to the conservation of plant genetic resources, scientific exchange, and capacity development. Both parties emphasized the importance of translating agreed frameworks into practical actions that contribute to resilient and sustainable agri-food systems.

H.E. Ambassador Berik Aryn highlighted the value of close cooperation with leading national institutions in advancing IOFS strategic priorities, while Mr. Baurzhan Asanov reiterated NASEC’s commitment to continued partnership and joint implementation of priority projects.
