IOFS Director General Engages with International and Regional Partners at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026

Antalya, Republic of Türkiye – April 2026 – On the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026, H.E. Ambassador Berik Aryn, Director General of the Islamic Organisation for Food Security, held a series of meetings with representatives of key international and regional organizations to further strengthen institutional partnerships and advance cooperation in food security.

During these engagements, the Director General met with H.E. Mr. Jasem AlBudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council; H.E. Mr. Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund ; Mr. Abdullah Eren, President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency; and Ms. Andrea Meza Murillo, Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification.

The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including sustainable agriculture, land restoration, climate resilience, and the strengthening of integrated approaches to food security. Particular attention was given to aligning efforts with global and regional priorities, as well as advancing joint initiatives that deliver tangible impact across IOFS Member States.

These engagements reaffirm the commitment of IOFS to fostering strategic partnerships and promoting coordinated action with international and regional stakeholders in support of a more resilient and food-secure future.
