In the concluding days of the 2026 IsDB Group Annual Meetings in Baku, the delegation of the Islamic Organisation for Food Security (IOFS), continued his programme of high-level engagements through a series of bilateral meetings with senior officials and representatives of international development institutions.
Among these engagements, H.E. the Director General met with H.E. Abdallah Souleymane Cheikh-Sidia, Minister of Economic Affairs and Development of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Ms. Dina Saleh, IFAD Special Envoy for the Middle East, Office of the President and Vice-President, and the technical meeting was held with Mr. Ahmed Aboubacrine, Head of the IsDB Rabat Regional Hub.
The meetings provided an opportunity to exchange views on current food security challenges facing OIC Member States and to explore avenues for strengthening cooperation in the areas of sustainable agriculture, rural development, climate resilience, and agricultural investment.
These high-level engagements reflect IOFS’s continued efforts to strengthen cooperation with key partners and mobilize expertise, resources, and innovative approaches to advance food security and agricultural development across the OIC region.
