Almaty, Kazakhstan | 19 September 2026 – H.E. Ambassador Azamat Berdibay, Chief de Cabinet of the Director General of the IOFS, participated in the opening ceremony of QMDB EXPO-2026, an international exhibition organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan (SAMK) in Almaty.
The exhibition brought together national and international representatives of the halal industry, Islamic institutions, businesses, and experts to showcase innovations and promote halal standards.
Addressing the audience, Ambassador Azamat Berdibay underscored that halal is first and foremost a matter of faith, integrity and trust, requiring transparency and responsibility throughout the entire food value chain. He also highlighted the strategic importance of strengthening intra-OIC halal trade by harmonising certification systems, removing market access barriers and advancing digital solutions that enhance traceability and food security.
QMDB EXPO-2026 serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and partnership-building among public institutions, certification bodies, producers, and international organizations.
