Astana, Kazakhstan – 26 June 2025 - The Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), H.E. Ambassador Berik Aryn, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Fuat Erdoğmuş, Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Kazakhstan to explore ways to deepen collaboration in areas of mutual interest, particularly in advancing sustainable agriculture and food security across OIC Member States.
The meeting served as a continuation of ongoing dialogue and cooperation between IOFS and TIKA. The Director General expressed his appreciation for the recent visit to TIKA Headquarters and highlighted the importance of the newly signed Memorandum of Understanding as a framework for expanding joint initiatives. He also acknowledged past collaboration on a number of successful activities and emphasized the need for continued focus on practical, high-impact projects.
For his part, the TIKA Coordinator thanked IOFS for hosting the meeting and reaffirmed TIKA’s commitment to supporting development initiatives in Kazakhstan and beyond, with a strong focus on capacity building and sustainability.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on recent developments and discussed areas for future collaboration. IOFS representatives provided an overview of ongoing activities and highlighted key thematic areas such as agricultural innovation, rural development, and technical cooperation.
The two institutions agreed to continue working closely to implement joint initiatives that contribute to addressing food security challenges in the OIC region. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to advancing meaningful partnerships and delivering tangible outcomes for Member States.
