The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan is implementing measures to achieve key indicators set out in the Priority Action Plan. These include increasing the physical volume index of gross agricultural output to 111.6%, food production to 105%, and beverage production to 109%. Over the first seven months of this year, the gross agricultural output grew by 3.7%, reaching 2.1 trillion tenge. The physical volume index for livestock production reached 103.7%, while crop production reached 104%. Planned indicators are expected to be achieved in the second half of the year after the harvest is completed, as crop production accounts for over half of the total gross output.
Out of the 580 billion tenge allocated for concessional loans for spring field work, 342.6 billion tenge has been utilized, with work ongoing on applications for an additional 20.4 billion tenge. Concessional loans through SPK (specialized credit organizations) are actively being used in northern and eastern regions, totaling 75 billion tenge, and contracts for concessional leasing of agricultural machinery have been signed for 2,298 units, amounting to 62.7 billion tenge.
Food production has increased by 0.4%, totaling 1.8 trillion tenge, with particularly significant growth in the production of cheese, cottage cheese, processed rice, vegetable oil, and dairy products. This year, 79 investment projects worth 50.9 billion tenge have been implemented, including projects in agricultural product processing, livestock, crop production, poultry farms, and dairy farming.
To support domestic producers, a Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Agricultural Product Processing until 2028 has been developed, which requires additional budgetary funds of 372 billion tenge. Overall, these measures are expected to increase gross agricultural output by 11.6%.
