The UAE has allocated 70 percent of its $100 million pledge to UN agencies towards supporting humanitarian efforts in Sudan, focusing on key partners like the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the World Food Programme, UNHCR, FAO, and WHO. This funding aims to provide essential food and health assistance, protect vulnerable groups such as women and children, and offer livelihoods and shelter during emergencies. Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem bint Ibrahim Al-Hashemi underscored the UAE's unwavering commitment to humanitarian aid in Sudan, highlighting ongoing collaborations with the WFP in El-Fasher and other regions. The UAE has also initiated substantial relief operations, including an air bridge and sea shipments, delivering 9,500 tons of aid through 148 flights and a vessel carrying 1,000 tons of critical supplies. Additionally, the UAE supports Sudanese refugee camps in Chad and South Sudan by ensuring food provision.
