Astana, Kazakhstan – 28 May 2025 – The Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) was pleased to welcome His Excellency Mr. Arman Issagaliyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Qatar to the IOFS Headquarters in Astana.
During his meeting with H.E. Ambassador Berik Aryn, Director General of IOFS, the two sides engaged in a productive exchange on strengthening trilateral cooperation among Qatar, Kazakhstan, and IOFS. Discussions focused on key areas such as food security, sustainable agriculture, and regional development. The visit served as an opportunity to identify joint priorities and explore avenues for enhanced collaboration in support of the Organiяation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States.
H.E. Ambassador Berik Aryn presented an overview of IOFS’s current programs and strategic priorities and emphasized the growing importance of partnerships with Gulf countries such as Qatar in advancing regional food system resilience. H.E. Ambassador Issagaliyev commended the work of IOF and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s support, expressing readiness to facilitate closer ties between IOFS and Qatari institutions.
Both parties agreed to maintain regular dialogue to build synergies and explore practical avenues for joint initiatives in line with the shared goals of ensuring food security and promoting sustainable development across OIC Member States.
