An urgently convened Arab-Islamic summit was held in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Majilis, Yerlan Koshanov, on behalf of our country, on the instructions of the Head of State. The Speaker of the Chamber, speaking from this rostrum, presented the position of our state on the settlement of international conflicts. During the summit, Yerlan Koshanov personally met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and conveyed the sincere greetings and good wishes of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The Emir of Qatar highly appreciated and expressed his gratitude for Kazakhstan's position regarding the military action taken by the Israeli authorities. The Chairman of the Majilis, referring to the tragic events taking place in Gaza, said that Kazakhstan is providing financial and material assistance. This process continued in January this year through the Islamic Organization for Food Security, headquartered in Astana. It is important to use the potential of this organization in increasing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people. Also at the summit, the Speaker of the Majilis exchanged views with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and highly appreciated the cooperation between the two countries. Yerlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan: - Kazakhstan strongly condemns Israel's military actions on the territory of the State of Qatar. This position was first expressed by our President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, expressing his firm support for the State of Qatar. Regardless of the purpose of the attack, such actions should not be allowed. This violates the sovereign rights of the State of Qatar and contradicts the principles of international law. Such an attack undermines not only the security of the state, but also the equality and sovereignty of states that are the basis of the international order.
