The International Qur’an Research Association (IQRA’), in partnership with the above organisations, will convene the IQRA’ 2026 Global Conference on October 24–25, 2026 at the ICESCO headquarters in Rabat, Morocco.
Under the theme “Guiding the Digital Age: A Qur’anic Compass for Human-Centered Innovation and Sustainable Development,” the conference will bring together policymakers, scholars, technology experts, development institutions, universities and youth leaders to explore how technological progress can serve human dignity, justice and sustainable development.
Building on IQRA’s 2025 Global Conference and its Global Declaration for Civilizational Renewal, the gathering responds to a critical challenge: enabling the Muslim world to move from being a passive consumer of technology towards actively shaping its ethical and developmental direction.
Day One will focus on Qur’anic ethics, artificial intelligence and human-centred innovation, addressing ethical AI governance, education, the future of knowledge and youth leadership. A key outcome will be a draft framework for ethical and human-centred AI based on Qur’anic principles.
Day Two will address sustainable development, food security and global cooperation, including AIdriven agriculture, smart farming, climate resilience and women’s leadership in science and technology. A strategic roundtable will examine “The Future of the Muslim World in the Digital Age” and develop practical pathways for institutional cooperation beyond the conference.
The hybrid conference will enable international participation in English, Arabic and French.
A major outcome will be the IQRA’ 2026 Global Declaration on Ethical AI and Human-Centered Development, addressing human dignity, sustainable development, economic transformation, youth empowerment and global cooperation. The conference aims ultimately to turn dialogue into practical cooperation and offer a Qur’an-centred contribution to shaping technology for the common good.
